Coating comparison: Even high-quality rhodium or titanium photomirrors have so far achieved only average values of around 75%, conventional chrome mirrors only 65%.

The reflection performance is not homogeneous in relation to the color spectrum. With rhodium mirrors
the red range is weighted more heavily, while the blue range is reflected more in titanium mirrors.

In conventional oral dental mirrors, the sensitive reflective layer is usually applied to the back of the dental mirror. However, incident light is reflected twice. Once by the actual dental mirror layer on the back, but a second time by the glass surface on the front. The result is disturbing double or ghost images:

Pflegehinweis für dentale Fotospiegel :

Unsere dentalen Fotospiegel sind Medizinprodukte der Klasse 1 mit einer sehr glatten Oberfläche. Der Autoklavierprozess ist grundsätzlich möglich aber nicht notwendig. Wir empfehlen die Wischdesinfektion mit Desinfektionslösungen für die Oberflächendesinfektion (z.B. ID212 forte, BIB forte, Lysetol FF usw.) Bitte keine aggressiven bzw. stark säurehaltigen Desinfektionsmittel verwenden!

Sowohl Spiegel als auch Griff können autoklaviert werden kann. 

Die Formen der Fotospiegel wurden in vielen Testreihen auf ihre dentale Praxistauglichkeit hin überprüft und optimiert. Durch die spezielle Formgebung wurde eine optimale Kombination aus Abbildungsfläche, sicherem Handling und Komfort für den Patienten gefunden. Für die okklusale Übersichtsaufnahme stehen so vier verschiedene Größen zur Verfügung. Für bukkale und linguale Aufnahmen wurden eigene optimierte Formen entwickelt.
